Elbow - Asleep In The Back Live
Celebrating 25 years of ‘Asleep In The Back’

To celebrate 25 years of ‘Asleep In The Back’, elbow will return to Manchester’s Ritz this November for three very special hometown shows on 20th, 21st & 22nd November 2026.

The band will perform ‘Asleep In The Back’ in its entirety, alongside selected B-sides and rarities.

Guy Garvey: “It’s fascinating for us to revisit the atmosphere we created, and the Ritz feels like the perfect setting to capture that atmosphere. A time machine night for us and for the fans. See you there.”

GENTLE STORM

I will fly swift and true straight to you, like an arrow
Just to be where you lie
Meet my quest, do my shambling best to be near you
Where you lie
I’ve found peace in your arms

Gentle storm
Rage my way
Fall in love with me
Fall in love with me
Fall in love with me
Everyday

Counting down, now the clocks reset when I met you
Do we start a new life?
Yours and my spit-shone restless hearts, they were meant to
Beat one time, share one fate
From this day

Gentle storm
Rage away
And fall in love with me
Fall in love with me
Fall in love with me
Everyday
