Elbow - Adriana Again
Today marks 25 years since the release of ‘Asleep in the Back’.

Originally released on 7th May 2001, elbow’s debut album introduced tracks including ‘Red’, ‘Newborn’, ‘Powder Blue’ and ‘Scattered Black and Whites’, and was later shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize.

To mark the anniversary, a selection of archive videos, live footage and clips from the long out-of-print ‘Asleep in the Back’ film are now being made available on the band’s official YouTube channel for the first time.

'MUSIC BOX WITH GUY GARVEY' - EPISODE TWO

Episode Two of ‘Music Box With Guy Garvey’ is now available on the BBC iPlayer.

This week Guy raids the archive and features music from PJ Harvey and Bridget St John, and is joined by Kate Stables of This Is The Kit for a chat and an intimate live version of ‘Spores All Settling’. There’s also an exclusive first view of This Is The Kit’s forthcoming video for ‘Silver John’ from current album, ‘Bashed Out’.

Also joining Guy this week is BBC 6 Music’s Tom Ravenscroft introducing a live recording from The Old Grey Whistle test back in 1974. Watch episode two here now.
