To celebrate 25 years of ‘Asleep In The Back’, elbow will return to Manchester’s Ritz this November for three very special hometown shows on 20th, 21st & 22nd November 2026.
The band will perform ‘Asleep In The Back’ in its entirety, alongside selected B-sides and rarities.
Guy Garvey: “It’s fascinating for us to revisit the atmosphere we created, and the Ritz feels like the perfect setting to capture that atmosphere. A time machine night for us and for the fans. See you there.”
Huw Stephens hosts a 6 Musicology special with Guy Garvey and Professor Sophie Daniels—one of only two Professors of Songwriting in the UK (the other being Guy Garvey himself).
Together, they explore songwriting, discuss their favourite tracks, and talk about the creative process, blending Sophie’s academic expertise with Guy’s experience as elbow’s frontman.
